“ Food is always incredible. I buy the patties by the dozens. I come down from upstate New York yes to get their patties ”
“ Spot is small, clean, and efficient spot only accepts cash definitely worth a visit. They move very quickly and efficiently I tried the meatloaf and chicken patty, and both were delicious....fresh, flavorful, and expertly made. If I lived nearby, I'd likely be on 600 Pound Life from enjoying these treats regularly. Kingston's Bakery is a must-visit for anyone ”
“ The joy of a perfectly made beef patty is hard to forget and Kingston Tropical Bakery certainly dishes out a stellar beef patty that is well worth getting! The menu is straightforward with multiples types of patties, breads, cakes and some juices. The beef patty with cocoa bread and a carrot cake loaf are my go-to orders and I would recommend the carrot cake which is moist, not overly sweet, and packed with taste. The whole environment and service are no frills and they keep things moving quickly. I would definitely suggest stopping by here if you happen to be in the area or passing through! ”
“ If there's one thing I know, today's technology does a great job of paying attention to your likes and creating suggestions. I randomly looked up beef patties in my area and Kingston Tropical Bakery came up. I bookmarked it on Yelp and since then, it continued to be a suggestion on my Yelp timeline and Google. I took the hint and finally visited on a Saturday afternoon. The bakery is in the heart of the Caribbean community in the Bronx. Street parking was plentiful however, I'm not so sure if that was a rare occurrence. As I stepped in, I felt a cozy presence. The shop is small but the fresh smell of baked goods is large! It reminded me of the patty shops in Jamaica. There was a line, nothing too crazy and it moved fast. Their menu is pretty basic, it includes a small variety of patties and some baked goods. I decided to go for their beef patty and cocoa bread. My order was up within seconds and I paid. I brought everything home to enjoy with my boyfriend. Firstly, the patties were fresh and hot. The crust is'nt as flaky as I like and what I am accustomed too however, the filling is delicious! It had a tasty blend of seasonings. From what I could see, there was some fresh herbs and onions used. To top it all off, the cocoa bread was heavenly! Now, I'm not a huge fan of cocoa bread because in the past, its either been dry or had a bland taste. Not at this bakery, the serving I received was nice and soft. It also had a tinge of sweetness, literally perfect. It's a pity I only bought 1 because my boyfriend and I were picking at it and trying to make it last between us lol. Overall, the meal was delicious! In terms of service, the staff were moving pretty quickly, so there wasn't much interaction however, they were kind. In terms of cost, I paid $10.50 for 2 patties and 1 cocoa bread. Pricing is a little on the higher side when compared to Golden Krust but I think the quality is worth it. Unfortunately, it is a cash only establishment, so be prepared. They offer an ATM inside if needed. Overall, it was a good visit. I will definitiely be returning as I'd like to try their hard dough bread and another type of patty. Highly recommended! ”
“ Patties so good I couldn't even take a picture cause I finished them so fast. Service was super fast and amazing. Carrot juice was A1. ”
“ Cash only. This place has been here for many years and the quality never diminishes. The coco bread still has that pillow soft, buttery texture. The beef patty still not stingy with the filling. Seasoning is always on point. The meatloaf patty is still delectable. Service fast and easy. Polite in the NYC way. Place is always clean as most carribean places are. It's always worth the travel and price point. I'm never let down coming here. Best patties and bread to this day! ”
“ I always go here for the beef patties and coco bread. They are always fresh and taste amazing! Today I tried the meatloaf and OMGGGGGG. Life changing lol. 10/10 ”
“ the patties are the best I have ever had. the shop is small and always have a line, sometimes out the door, but I have never waited more than 10 minutes to get my order and they haven't gotten it wrong yet. I've been going there for 20 years and since I' m no longer in my prime years, I just can't get there as much as I would like to...maybe a delivery service for seniors????? ”
“ This place is a hidden gem at the corner of 233rd in the Bronx, and their veggie patties are undoubtedly the best in NYC. Yes, I drove all the way from NJ just to get these patties, and when I arrived, the line was out the door! Some might think it's just a simple patty shop, but they specialize in patties, sodas, desserts, and the warmest, melt-in-your-mouth coco bread I've ever tasted--no exaggeration! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that they only accept cash, so make sure to bring some with you. Overall, it's a must-visit spot! ”
“ So...usually people go for beef or chicken I imagine...but the VEGGIE PATTIE... o...m..f..g.. I am no vegetarian or vegan but that's my favorite. Definite must try people. Get there early though the line can go around the block which is itself an indication of how good their patties are. ”
